Luna Shipping Update
As many of you have noticed, Luna's have been making their way to new homes. Over 80% of the orders have been shipped out. Due to COVID supply shortages, acrylic is being prioritized to essential businesses and apparently keyboards are not an essential business. As a result of the shortage, many keyboards have been ready to ship with the exception of the acrylic rings. I placed an order a few weeks ago and had yet to receive a shipping estimate. After many calls and much frustration, I managed to acquire some material that is scheduled to arrive on Wednesday (thanks to the awesome folks over at Delvie's Plastics). I need approximately a day of laser cutting to restock the acrylic rings and then I can rush these orders out the door.
In other news, Salvun has begun production of the next iteration of Luna based on the DZ60 pcb. The DZ60 is called a "swiss cheese" pcb due to the vast amount of layouts that are supported, including ISO and arrow keys. We've adapted our integrated top plate design to accommodate most layouts. As our goal is to provide a 4 week turnaround time, we expect to open pre-orders in mid-June.
The Lauch Pad pcb and case design has been finalized. We added rgb led backlight to each switch in addition to the rgb underglow. We will be producing the aluminum case machining in-house. I'm working with Joric to produce a new batch of bluetooth controllers with an updated pcba design.
Thank you for your patience. Hope you're safe and healthy.
